Bucks Preview: Game 7 vs Thunder

The Bucks look to get their fifth win in seven games in a huge test against Russell Westbrook and the Thunder.

Oklahoma City Thunder (3-3)

  • 47-35 last season, lost in first round of playoffs
  • 69-68 against Bucks all-time
  • Home to Russell Westbrook, the first working prototype produced by Operation Giannis

Offensive Key

On Sunday against the Hawks, Khris Middleton had his best game of the young season by far, going for 27/7/9 and 2 steals. I firmly believe that Middleton is the Bucks second-best player with or without Jabari Parker, but with Parker injured it is clearly up to Middleton to support Giannis offensively. If he can score 20 or more, the Bucks will definitely be in this game when it comes down to the final possession (if it even comes to that).

Defensive Key

In three wins this season, the Thunder have averaged 47 total rebounds and 13 offensive rebounds. In three losses, they’ve averaged 36 rebounds and 9 offensive boards. Four offensive boards can easily lead to a 10-point swing (if not more), so it’s key that the Bucks own the boards, especially after playing good enough defense to force a miss.

Tune in at 7:00 PM CT to see if the Bucks can start the season 5-2 with an early statement win!
