Bucks Preview: Game 5 vs Celtics

The Bucks look to continue their hot start to the season with a second big win over the Celtics in the Return to the MECCA game.

Boston Celtics (2-2)

Offensive Key

In their season-opening win against the Celtics, aside from Giannis’s memorable 37-point performance, four other Bucks scored in double figures (Malcolm Brogdon with 19, Khris Middleton and Matthew Dellavedova with 15 a piece, and Greg Monroe with 10). In game 2, Milwaukee’s first loss against the Cavs, only Giannis (with 34) and Brogdon (16) scored in double figures. Giannis is going to get his 30-40 points (because this is his MVP to lose), so if he can get a little bit of help on the offensive side of things from his teammates, the Bucks should be in good shape.

Defensive Key

In the season opener, the Bucks only tallied 6 assists and 4 blocks against the Celtics. Despite this, they were able to win because they held the Celtics to 43% shooting from the field (and limited Kyrie Irving to 7-25). If they can hold the Celtics (and particularly Kyrie) to another disappointing shooting night and/or rack up more steals and blocks than they did in the first game, they can start their season 2-0 against the defending Eastern Conference 1 seed.

Tune in at 7:00 PM CT to see the Bucks try and retain their current top position in the conference, and to see the Bucks go back in time in their return to the MECCA.
