Bucks Preview: Game 13 vs Grizzlies

After ending their four-game skid with back-to-back wins against the Spurs and Lakers, the Bucks are back in action tonight against the Grizzlies.

Memphis Grizzlies (7-5)

  • 43-39 last season, lost in first round of playoffs
  • 21-20 against Bucks all-time
  • Tied with the Utah Jazz and the Los Angeles Lakers for most ironic post-relocation franchise name in NBA history

Offensive Key

In their last two games, the Bucks have won with their defense. They can’t keep relying on their defense to win games alone, though, so they should aim to score 100 points or more tonight. Since Bledsoe hasn’t quite had that huge introductory game yet, it would be nice to seem him have a big night and contribute to that 100 point goal.

Defensive Key

In their 12 games to open the season, the Grizzlies have put up similar stats in wins and losses alike. They’ve actually shot better (from the field and from three-point range) in losses than in wins, and there’s only a slight difference in most of the rest of their stats. The real discrepancy is that in wins, the Grizzlies have averaged 28 free throw attempts, while in losses they’ve only averaged 21 free throw attempts. If the Bucks can avoid fouling and giving Memphis too many opportunities from the line, they’ll have a good chance to win their third straight.

Tune in tonight at 7:00 PM CT to see if the Bucks can get back over .500!
