Bucks Preview: Game 12 vs Lakers

After a great win in San Antonio last night, the Bucks look to get back to .500 against the baby Lakers.

Los Angeles Lakers (5-7)

  • 26-56 last season
  • 81-51 against Bucks all-time
  • Currently mired in a 15 season three-peat drought

Offensive Key

Last night against the Spurs, the Bucks scored their third-lowest total of the season, so there was definitely some room for improvement offensively. While Eric Bledsoe had a pretty solid debut with 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 7 assists, he did only shoot 6-15 from the field and 1-5 from beyond the arc. If Bledsoe can shoot just a bit better and score around 20-25 points, the Bucks should be able to turn both games in the back-to-back into wins.

Defensive Key

While the Bucks had some room for improvement offensively last night, they played a pretty great defensive game, holding the Spurs to 87 points (tied for their lowest total of the season) on 43% from the field and 31% from distance. The Bucks also only let San Antonio take 11 shots from the free throw line and only gave up 9 offensive rebounds, as they did a good job staying out of foul trouble and not giving the Spurs many second chances. If they can play good defense again tonight and particularly not bail the Lakers out by giving up offensive rebounds and committing fouls, they should be fine.

Tune in at 7:30 PM CT to see if the Bucks can make it two in a row!
